Eligibility checks begin. Chevening screens all applications to ensure they meet the minimum criteria.

Mid-October 2025 to January 2026
Reading committee reviews all eligible applications. This is when your essays and background are carefully assessed by expert reviewers.

Mid-February 2026
Shortlisted applicants receive interview invitations. If you make it, you’ll need to prepare your documents and practice for the all-important Chevening panel interview.

March to April 2026
Interviews take place at British embassies and high commissions worldwide. Don’t forget to upload or send your references before your interview window ends.
